Chao Tan

I am currently a second-year master's student at the Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Engineering, Tongji University, advised by Prof. Xian-Sheng Hua. I am also fortunate to receive guidance from Prof. Shuxian Liang, Prof. Zhen Huang, and Prof. Chaoqun Wan.

My research focuses on Physical AI and Embodied Intelligence, particularly humanoid robot motion control and robot policy learning. My work covers bimanual teleoperation, motion retargeting, Sim2Real deployment, vision-language-action (VLA) models, and world models. I aim to connect perception, decision-making, and control, enabling humanoid robots to learn from human demonstrations and perform complex manipulation tasks autonomously.

Outside of research, I enjoy playing badminton and reading novels.
